2025 The Year of Growth

My word for 2025 is Growth.  It's about evolving, both personally and professionally, expanding my horizons, and deepening my connection to the world around me. But let's be real, growth isn't always pretty. It can be messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes even a bit painful.  It's like those nature documentaries where the baby bird struggles to break free from its shell -  it's a struggle, but the result is beautiful.

To guide my journey, I've assigned a word to each month, a sort of roadmap for this year of transformation:

January: Intention. Setting the foundation with clear goals and a focused mindset. Time to ditch the "winging it" strategy and embrace some good old-fashioned planning.

February: Connection. Nurturing relationships and building a supportive community. Because let's face it, even the most independent butterfly needs a few friendly caterpillars to hang out with.

March: Exploration. Stepping outside my comfort zone and trying new things. Maybe I'll finally take that improv class or learn to juggle chainsaws (kidding... maybe).

April: Creativity. Unleashing my "kaleidoscope mind" and exploring new avenues for creative expression. Think writing, painting, maybe even interpretive dance (don't worry, I won’t spare you the visuals).

May: Resilience. Bouncing back from setbacks and adapting to change. Because life throws curveballs, and I'm ready to hit them out of the park (or at least try not to get beaned in the process).

June: Reflection. Taking a step back to assess my progress, celebrate wins, and learn from any stumbles. Time for some introspection and course correction if needed.

July: Nourishment. Prioritizing my well-being – physical, mental, and emotional. This means healthy habits, mindfulness practices, and a nice long digital detox.

August: Community. Giving back, volunteering, and contributing to the causes I believe in. It's about using my voice and my skills to make a positive impact on the world.

September: Focus. Honing my concentration and deepening my engagement with my work and creative pursuits. Time to channel that laser focus and tackle those big projects.

October: Balance. Finding harmony between my personal and professional life, my creative and analytical sides, and my need for both connection and solitude. It's about creating a sustainable rhythm for the long haul.

November: Gratitude. Cultivating an attitude of appreciation for the people and experiences in my life. Time to count my blessings and acknowledge the progress I've made.

December: Growth. Celebrating my achievements, acknowledging my transformation, and setting new intentions for the future. It's about recognizing how far I've come and embracing the ongoing journey of growth.

This year is about more than just checking off a list of resolutions; it's about a fundamental shift in my approach to life. It's about embracing the messy, unpredictable, and ultimately beautiful process of transformation.  It's about becoming the best version of myself, one month, one day, and for at least 15 minutes a day.
